Anders Kjærulff Lyngby

Vote for the local election – your vote matters!

There are many foreigners in the municipality — 16% are foreigners, and more than 25% have a foreign background.

Throughout our history, foreigners have always contributed to the development of our municipality.

Many do not vote — often because they didn’t know they were eligible to vote.

Your vote matters, so I want to encourage you to take part!

I am one of the candidates, I have an edicational background in computer science, history and economy.

Some of and key priorities are:

More Inclusion!
Foreigners should feel welcome and be included in the community:

Strengthen programs that help foreigners participate in the community
Support mentorship and job training programs connecting foreigners with businesses.
Encourage schools to promote diversity and intercultural understanding.
Support initiatives that celebrate cultural diversity — through food festivals, arts, and sports.

More Life in Lyngby – Support Small Businesses!
The municipality should make greater use of local and smaller suppliers.

Our business climate, procurement processes, and urban development should ensure that Lyngby remains a vibrant city for commerce and social life in the future.

You can vote already now!

You can vote if you are at least 18 years old.

If you do not hold a Danish passport, you can still vote if you are:

• an EU citizen, or a citizen of Iceland, Norway, or the United Kingdom, or
• from another country but have lived in Denmark for at least 4 years (i.e., arrived before 18 November 2021).

Why should you vote?

The municipality decides on things such as:

• Schools and daycare institutions
• Elderly care and health
• Roads, buses, and the environment
• Sports, leisure, and culture

When you vote, you choose the people who make decisions about your city, your school, your roads, and your community.

It’s about your local area, your money, and your everyday life — your vote is about you!

I would like to be your choice and your representative – the link between you and the municipality!

Who should I vote for?

You can vote for a party or a specific candidate.

I recommend that you vote for a specific candidate, because you should see the candidate as your personal representative.

Think about which person you want on the municipal council — not just which party — because personal votes determine who gets elected.

It’s not always easy to see the difference between candidates — it can be a bit like shopping: you try to compare everything, but in the end, it might just come down to a feeling or a sense of trust.

I would be honored to be your choice and your representative – but most importantly, use your vote on any candidate – it matters, and you matter!

Happy voting!

Anders Kjærulff — party letter “C”
